Policies

The Sauk Prairie Recreation Department has policies for all of our programs and activities.

Affiliated/Non-affiliated Fee Policy
Each program will have an A/NA located after the fee, please see below to verify which surrounding municipalities are affiliated or non-affiliated:

A = Affiliated - V of Prairie du Sac, V of Sauk City, T of Prairie du Sac, T of Roxbury, T of Sumpter, and T of Mazomanie

NA = Non-affiliated – V of Merrimac, T of Merrimac, T of West Point, T of Troy, T of Honey Creek, and other surrounding municipalities.

Financial Assistance - United Way Scholarship Fund
United Way has donated funds for the Sauk Prairie Recreation Department to fund a scholarship program. Our Department started a “no questions asked” policy with awarding scholarships if a child wants to participate in a recreation program.  The Department’s only request is that the participant’s pay for what they can afford and the Department will cover the remainder of the fees. If interested in scholarship assistance for any program, please contact us. Scholarships can only be processed in the office and not online.

You Snooze...You Lose
Nothing kills a program quicker than waiting until the last minute to sign up. If there are not enough participants by the deadline listed, it will be cancelled.

Say Cheese!!!
For program promotional purposes, photographs may be taken of participants. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please notify the department.

Concussion Act Policy
The Sauk Prairie Recreation Department is complying with a state law that requires coaches, parents, and athletes to read and sign a fact sheet regarding concussion signs and symptoms. This form is on the website and must be signed and returned to the Recreation Office before participation in a youth sport can begin.

Age & Grade Requirements
For all programs, an age or grade requirement is specified. Please do not request to have your child put in a class in which he/she does not belong. All age or grade requirements are set to benefit the children, make instruction more consistent for the leader and for safety reasons.
