The Sauk Prairie School District recognizes that while all students have gifts and talents, some possess them to an extraordinary degree. Such students have remarkable abilities and are capable of high levels of performance in one or more of the areas of giftedness, including academics, creativity, leadership, and the arts.

The Gifted and Talented Department uses many tools in order to meet the needs of these students. They supply instructional materials and offer instructional advice to teachers in order to enhance students’ learning experiences in the classroom. They also provide enrichment opportunities and do extensive screening and assessment to determine correct placement levels for students.
