Ryker Koenig is the Sauk Prairie Optimist Middle Level Leader for February.
Ryker Koenig is the son of Taylor and Sarah Koenig and an eighth grader at Sauk Prairie Middle School.
Josie Geppert (Life Skills Teacher) and Cynthia Cox-Zemanovic (Art Teacher) nominated Ryker for this award.
Mrs. Geppert had this to say: “I have had the pleasure of teaching Ryker since 6th grade, and he has consistently been a positive role model in the classroom. Ryker is kind to his peers and demonstrates respect to anyone he interacts with. On the academic side, he works hard on his assignments, perseveres through challenges, and is thorough in his work. Ryker serves as a quiet example for his classmates. I really appreciate how Ryker routinely balances having fun in the classroom with being a driven and focused student. These qualities and more will serve him so well as he moves on to high school and beyond!”
Ryker really enjoys his extracurricular activities at Middle School. He dove into the excitement of basketball and hitting the weights with the weightlifting club.
Outside of school, he's rocking it with his BDL (Badger Development League) youth basketball team and making waves on his youth baseball team.
The anticipation is electric as Ryker looks forward to the epic adventure of high school, where he can jump into challenging classes and explore an array of options.
His dreams are sky-high as he sets his sights on college with aspirations to major in engineering science.
Congratulations Ryker!
