Sauk Prairie Referendum
Confidently Living Today With A Clear Vision For Tomorrow
After reviewing community survey results and feedback, the Sauk Prairie School Board approved a smaller referendum plan for the April 7, 2026 ballot.
Voters will be asked to consider the following two referendum questions.
Question 1: Capital
Similar to the high school project, this plan focuses on addressing facility and safety needs at the middle school and Grand Avenue Elementary—both of which have not seen major updates in 30+ years.
Question 2: Operational
Changes in government funding—particularly state limits that have not adjusted for inflation since 2009 and the upcoming end of a federal grant—have affected Sauk Prairie’s operating budget over time. This operational referendum allows the district to maintain class offerings, programs, staff and reasonable class sizes.
